A new version of iMovie ‘11 is now available from Apple. The update is tasked with improving the overall stability of the movie-editing app, and fixes an issue with audio playback.
Unfortunately the current version of iMovie at the Apple store 10.1.3 only installs on El Capitan or higher and the iMovie section of the website only holds a list of updates to download, not the actual software base dmg. According to a note posted to Apple’s Support web site, the iMovie 9.0.2 update is recommended for all users of iMovie ‘11.

For new customers, iMovie 9.0.2 is available for download through Apple’s Mac App Store (for $14.99), where the company touts the software as being able to “turn ordinary home videos into captivating Hollywood-style trailers that are fun to watch and share.”
