- The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003) After the success of 2001’s The Simpsons: Road Rage, which was loosely based on the Crazy Taxi franchise, the titular TV family tried their hand at an open.
- Apparently, just about all of my favorite childhood games have been remade or reiterated on. But there’s something missing: The Simpsons: Road Rage and The Simpsons: Hit and Run.
7 Will Probably Get A Remaster: The Simpsons: Road Rage. The predecessor to the masterful Hit and Run, The Simpsons: Road Rage was a poor imitation of Crazy Taxi and it showed. Instead of using. Simpsons Hit And Run Remaster Has Show Producer's Full Support Matt Selman has been a writer and producer for The Simpsons since the 1990s. He also co-wrote the scenarios of various games based on the show, including The Simpsons Road Rage, The Simpsons Game, and Hit and Run itself.

If you're dying to get back behind the wheel of Mr. Plow, the Zombie Car, or Mr. Burns' Limo, we're sorry to report there still isn't a remaster of The Simpsons: Hit & Run. Despite continued rumours a Hit & Run remaster could be around the corner, the years continue to pass without so much as the honk of a horn. Now, someone has recreated the iconic game inside PlayStation's Dreams.
For those who are new to Dreams, Media Molecule's game creation system allows you to recreate anything in-game, which has led to some impressive builds of The Last of Us Part II, Red Dead Redemption, and Fallout 4. The moral of the story is that if you can dream it, you can build it. You get the gist. As we continue to wait for those at the top to realise the potential of a Hit & Run, we can live out our 'dreams' in Dreams.

What is the Hit & Run remaster?
Dreams creator ReivaJKH has worked their magic on The Simpsons: Hit & Run to recreate the titular family's backyard. Using Dreams, you can swap between each member of the family - even giving Maggie a gun to potentially shoot Mr. Burns. A short video was uploaded to YouTube by OpyGam3r, and although it's only brief, it shows what Hit & Run could look like with a bit of love and attention. Admittedly, it's not quite Hit & Run because you can't actually drive the family's pink Sedan. Still, there's clearly a lot of work that's gone into creating the Simpsons' neighbourhood.
Way back in 2003, The Simpsons: Hit & Run was released on the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and OG Xbox before being ported to Windows PC. Taking inspiration from Rockstar's already booming Grand Theft Auto series, Radical Entertainment's game was more than a subtle nod to GTA III. More than just a quick cash-in *cough* The Simpsons: Road Rage *cough*, Radical learned from the mistakes of the past and worked with The Simpsons' writers to create a game that feels like it was pulled directly from an episode of the hit series.
Will there be a Hit & Run remaster?

— BonnellHD (@BonnellHd) October 6, 2020Who can forget Homer's Hit & Run one-liners or zooming around your favourite Springfield landmarks. From Moe's Tavern to the Monorail, the Duff Blimp to Mr. Burns' Casino, it was all here. All these years later, it's baffling we haven't had a Hit & Run remaster. Although Producer Vlad Ceraldi has expressed his interest in a multi-platform remake that would make the most of current and next-gen systems, it's never got off the ground. Part of the problem is the fact publisher Vivendi was absorbed into Activision.
With the rights being unclear, The Simpsons: Hit & Run isn't available on any digital storefront, meaning you'll have to rummage out your old consoles. If that isn't crying out for a next-gen remaster, we don't know what is. For now, we're left watching the car that Homer built gather dust and rust in the garage. Who knows, maybe 2021 will surprise us?
